Copyright guidance

StudyForge is built to respect creators and institutions. Sharing the right content the right way protects you and other students.

Private uploads are the default

Anything you upload to StudyForge stays private to your account unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Public sharing requires rights

Only share materials you created yourself or have permission to share. Lecture slides, books, paid scripts and copyrighted documents should stay private unless you hold the rights.

Material statuses

Materials can be: private, shared, public, under review, reported, removed, community checked, or verified. Reported content is reviewed and may be hidden or removed.

Reporting issues

You can report copyright issues, incorrect content, spam, offensive content, or duplicate uploads from any community item. Confirmed reports may earn credits.

No legal overpromising

Credits are platform usage credits, not money. We do not promise content is legally cleared just because it has been community-checked — copyright issues always take precedence.
